By design, Bella-Dura® fibers resist spills and absorption. !! Whether it's betadine in a healthcare environment or red wine in a restaurant, Bella-Dura® is easy to clean. Since Bella-Dura® fabrics are made with solution-dyed yarns, and its inherent stain resistance will not wear off, cleaning Bella-Dura® is easy - - even with bleach. A mild soap-and-water solution is all that is required for most spills.
Quick and Easy Cleaning Method
- 1. Apply a cleaning solution of 1 part dishwashing soap to 10 parts water to the fabric.
- 2. Use a clean cloth or soft bristle brush, in a swirling motion, to remove the stain.
- 3. Rinse with clear water to remove any soapy Residue*.
- 4. Blot with a clean, dry cloth and allow time to air dry.
- 5. Repeat as necessary until the stain is gone.
Some stubborn stains may require light agitation with an upholstery cleaning brush or toothbrush. Never use stiff bristles or wire brushes, as they may damage the fabric. To prevent soil build-up, frequent vacuuming is recommended.
Bleach Cleaning: Because Bella-Dura® is a solution-dyed fabric, the fibers are bleach cleanable without risk of fading or harm, making even more challenging spills easy to treat. Quickly clean and disinfect using a diluted bleach solution (four parts water to one part bleach)*.
*Remember to always rinse well with clear water to remove all soap and/or bleach residue. Any remaining cleaning product residue will attract dirt and if proper rinsing has not occurred, fabrics will soil again more quickly.
