Resilience TX: Care, Cleaning & Disinfection
Regular vacuuming and prompt cleaning are essential steps to maintaining your upholstery.
WS: treatment varies depending on the stain.
Always pretest the cleaning method in a small, inconspicuous area before treating the actual stain. Do not saturate the upholstery. Hot water extraction or steam cleaning is not a recommended cleaning method for Resilience TX fabrics. Cushion covers should not be removed and laundered or dry-cleaned. Pile fabrics may require light brushing with a non-metallic, stiff-bristle brush to restore appearance after the stain has been removed.
WATER BASED STAINS
Spot clean the soiled area with mild soap and water, then wipe or rinse with fresh water and pat dry with a lint-free cloth. Clean spots or stains from the outside to the middle of affected area to prevent circling marks. Use a professional furniture cleaning service when overall soiling needs to be addressed.
OIL BASED AND DIFFICULT STAINS
Blot the affected area with a soft clean cloth or sponge using a 1:10 solution of dish soap and water. For stubborn stains, follow up with a mild solution of Oxi Clean™ and water. Wipe or rinse with fresh water and pat dry with a lint free cloth. Alternative option is to spot clean the stain using a water free solvent or dry-cleaning product in a well-ventilated area. Contacting a professional cleaning service, to handle the soiled area, is recommended.
DISINFECTION
To disinfect the Resilience TX fabric, lightly spray with a 7: 3 dilution of water to isopropyl alcohol. After the appropriate contact time, blot surface dry and gently wipe or rinse with fresh water and blot dry. See a list of approved disinfectant cleaners for Resilience TX Fabrics.
